Here are some online training sites that may be useful while unemployed. I think it is funny in some ways and enlightening in others to showcase these. Some of them were just for fun, while others were a nice refresher course to keep my knowledge intact.

- Division of Workforce Development and Adult Learning
- Western Maryland Consortium ~ this site is specific setup for the Western Maryland Counties (Washington, Allegheny and Garrett). They can help with training (up to $4500) to get certificates and licenses as long as they can be completed within a year.
- ALISON ~ this is a free online training site that has some good tools. At the end of each session or class, there is an assessment test. What is interesting is that if you fail the tests, you can retake them. In fact if you applied for a course that you now don't want to take, you can easily delete it. One thing to note is that this seems to be mostly geared to UK or European audience due to how some items are worded as well as outdated. Even with this, all the units I took were fine and useful as a refresher.
